Bring Out Your Inner Caveman!
by pen knives on Jul.23, 2009, under Chef's Knives
You read about different handles and grips on various knives and how they’re made out of bone, or tusk or plastic or aluminum or some space-aged polymer, but you rarely see anything as unique as this ceramic handled caveman-esque knife set made specifically for chefs.
I doubt its usefulness could make up for the all-too-real possibility of losing a finger while chopping up a carrot, but HOT DAMN do these things look futuristically prehistoric. Rather than a handle of any merit, the blade is matched in size and shape on the opposite side by a ceramic duplicate, creating a teardrop blade that would look doooope on my Batman Belt.
Matthias Kaeding is known for cool and reasonable designs that are applied to everyday items, and this Ceramic Chef’s Knife Set is no different.
