If you were recently swindled into seeing Transformers 2, you might be interested to know that the only mental benefit to having sat through that pile of dung was Megan Fox’s thumbs. BUT! Now that I’ve seen the movie, I’m constantly staring off into space imagining other objects turning into awesome beasts that will crush the annoying vehicles in my path.

Much to my dismay, a friend showed me HIS own personal transformer in the form of a knife/multiblade that had me googooing for hours. The Striker Folding Multi-Blade is one of those robots from the future that you can fit on your belt, and you don’t have to worry about unsighlty mutiny or revolt from an alien power rising out of your hip!

This Striker knife features an aggressive file, quick change blade, a blade storage compartment, and a corner saw.

If you need another tool to grab with one hand, and a cool name and concept, please let me know, because I would be hard pressed to desire anything but the latest multi-fold from Striker.

ll over the internet lurk computer generated websites that are as flaky as the adwords you sometimes see on websites that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual content on the page. It’s funny, it’s sad, but it’s also pretty easy to spot.

A week ago I was doing some reading on different ways of sharpening the different knives I have around my house and garage and I kept finding these horrible recommendations on purchasing HUGE and more often than not EXPENSIVE sharpening systems.

Why would I sharpen a $20 knife on a $100 sharpener? Does that make any sense?

Regardless, I typed in KNIFE SHARPENING TIPS and happened upon KnifeSharpeningTips.com – HOLY WOWSERS!

I don’t know the dude, but I read his site quite a bit, and you should too!

If you have a set of keys that you take with you everywhere, and you do not currently stock your pocket with a penknife, you owe it to yourself to attach a Swiss Army Knife on those puppies.

From toothpicks, to tweezers, to scissors, to nail files, to screwdrivers, to vodka gimlets, to the blades themselves, these little bastards can get you out of a jam with ease, or COMING SOON TO AMERICA: GET YOUR ASS THROWN IN JAIL!

But seriously folks, the Swiss Army Knife is an institution on realistic necessity. If you want to borrow everyone else’s, go ahead you mooch, but you really are cheaping out as they are CHEAP AS HELL.

Take Amazon’s batch for instance, starting at $3.20 USD and up to over $100.00 USD, start small and just carry a basic one until your knifeticles (KNIFE TESTICLES!) itch for a larger, more testosterone driven model.

There is nothing more awesome than something you would normally wear anyway that ALSO serves a knife-like purpose. I’m talking underwear with a built in kitana, or socks with a hidden “sock knife” or if you’re in to the whole REALITY THING: the BELT BUCKLE KNIFE!

I wear a belt 6 out of 7 days a week,Imagine the look on someone’s face when you get off your Harley (or Vespa, no one is judging you pal!) and seem to adjust your belly position and just when they think you’ve been properly situated you WHIP OUT THE BLADE FROM UNDA YO BELLY! I carry a knife 7 days a week. If we do the math here we will realize that I could actually be double blading it the majority of the time by installing one of these bad boys under me belly.

I KILL ZOMBIES LIKE IT’S MY JOB BECAUSE I’M ALWAYS DOUBLE BLADIN MAAAN!

Gotta’ love coolsecret schtuff.

If I was James Bond for the Illinois crowd, I’d keep one of these puppies handy.

Tactical Folding Knives For Your Fifth Pocket

My dad & I are constantly trading links on cool knives and gadgets that could potentially find a spot in our arsenal or fifth pocket. In April he printed out a flyer from Triple Eight Knives and handed it to me with a gleam in his eye.

We have always shared an interest in hooked blades, but never got around to purchasing one because most hook knives are fixed blades and oftentimes bigger than our legal 4 inch restrictions and on the expensive and “when would i ever use this” side of the coin. That all changed when he showed me the COPTOOL from Triple Eight.

At only THREE INCHES when closed and a mere 4.25″ when open and locked, this is not only the perfect fifth pocket companion, it’s insanely sharp. With a belt clip on the one side, I knew just where to put this the minute I ripped it out of the box using my usual penknife.

I now have my folding Cop Tool knife attached to my visor in my truck for storage and on weekends when working around the house it has completely dominated my fifth pocket spot over all of my other knives.

I have never considered buying a fixed blade, but after staring at the A.D.O. (Alpha Detachment Operative) model for a few weeks, I am seriously a hair’s width away from making the change from steak knives to a rack of A.D.O.’s in my kitchen.

So I’ve entered into a new phase of my life: knifeporn! Knives shot with just the right lighting can be almost as attractive as a woman on a freshly waxed pickup holding a juicy burger containing a fried egg, applewood smoked bacon and a gift certificate to Gander Mountain!!
